12 October 2007: SMS from Glyn: Have made it to Cairo! Sipping ice cold beer & pepsi at campsite in Giza. Have glimpsed pyramids but will visit properly soon.

We decided, on the recommendation of our good friend Sam from Lalibela, to take a microlite flight over the falls. He'd said it was definitely worth doing, and as most of his other recommendations have turned out to be fabulous, we decided to treat ourselves to early birthday and Christmas presents.'
